Chris Waller‘s undefeated mare Autumn Glow is odds-on favourite to keep her perfect record intact with a win in the Theo Marks Stakes 2025 at Rosehill on Saturday.

One of four Group races on the Run to the Rose Day card in Sydney, the Group 2 $300,000 Theo Marks Stakes (1300m) has drawn a capacity line-up of potential Epsom Handicap-bound gallopers.

The last horse to complete the Theo Marks Stakes – Epsom Handicap double in a single season was Winx (2015), and Waller looks in with a genuine shot to repeat the feat this season.

Current markets on the Theo Marks final field at Ladbrokes.com.au are firmly led by the stable’s The Autumn Sun four-year-old Autumn Glow at $1.60 after she took her record up to a flawless five-from-five fresh winning the Group 3 Toy Show Quality on a Heavy (10).

Unbeaten favourite in the Theo Marks - Autumn Glow - will have Kerrin McEvoy aboard with James McDonald riding at Flemington on Saturday

Already a proven Group 2 winner in the Tea Rose Stakes last September, this bonny bay is yet to put a foot wrong, and the markets reflect the confidence of the punters who are coming for her in droves to continue the picket fence.

Autumn Glow is at her pet track again having won all three of her Rosehill assignments to date and will relish getting up in distance having twice won at 1300m ahead of the Theo Marks.

She is drawn a treat mid-field in barrier six but has a jockey swap with Kerrin McEvoy replacing James McDonald who is riding in Melbourne for Makybe Diva Stakes Day.

All-in 2025 Epsom Handicap betting on the October 4 classic are also led by Autumn Glow at $2.40 with that price only set to firm should she come out and salute on Saturday.

Waller is a five-time Theo Marks Stakes winning trainer with his latest success being with Kiku in 2022.

Along with the short favourite he also saddles up four others in the field this year with the New Zealand Oaks winning Leica Lucy ($18) the next best in betting.

Autumn Glow is so dominant in the markets that only three other runners are under double figures to win with the next best being dual acceptor and second emergency Stefi Magnetica ($8.50).

Bjorn Baker‘s resuming Doncaster Mile winner is also accepted for the Group 2 Sheraco Stakes (1200m) on the card.

The other hopes at single figure Theo Marks Stakes odds are Kiwi raider Pier ($9.50) and General Salute ($9) for Gerald Ryan & Sterling Alexiou.

Proisir six-year-old Pier is prepared across the Tasman by Darryn & Briar Weatherley and is back down under after a successful winter campaign in Brisbane.

He ran third behind War Machine from a wide alley in the Group 3 BRC Sprint before taking out a Black-Type by a big margin over the Eagle Farm mile at his latest in mid-June.

Dropping from 59kg that run to 56kg on Saturday, he’s a previous winner at the distance and has Ethan Brown riding.

Genral Salute meanwhile has the fitness edge with the Russian Revolution five-year-old second-up off a good third at Randwick behind Lazzura in the Group 3 Show County Quality on a Heavy (10) under two lengths beaten.

The 2025 Theo Marks Stakes is set to run as Rosehill Race 9 at 4:40pm (AEST) on Saturday’s 10-race card.
