Co-trainer Dan Pearce can see Money Maher getting every chance to get the cash from a middle of the field barrier in the Group 2 $500,000 W.A. Guineas (1600m) at Ascot in Perth on Saturday.

Money Maher has remained the Ladbrokes.com.au $4 favourite after drawing barrier eleven in the final W.A. Guineas field of sixteen plus two emergencies with one of the emergencies drawn inside of him.
Money Maher’s pattern of racing is to get back in the field and Pearce can picture Jarrad Noske settling the Al Maher colt in the second half of the field.
“We couldn’t be happier,” Pearce told The West Australian.
“He should be midfield or worse hopefully with cover and then come into the race late.
“Sometimes when you draw inside you can get held up. A couple of the fancies have drawn outside us.”
Money Maher is the winner of three of his last four starts, two with Noske in the saddle and Pearce said if the colt can repeat his last start win in the Listed $100,000 Fairtha Stakes (1400m) at Ascot on November 11, he will be fighting out the finish again.
“He couldn’t have been more impressive last start and we’ve just kept him ticking along,” said Pearce who trains in partnership with his brother Ben.
Second favourite Perfect Jewel ($4.80) will have to overcome a wide barrier if she is to find here way back to the winner’s stall after drawing sixteen in the original draw.
Leading Perth jockey William Pike takes the ride on the Bob Peters owned filly who won her first three race starts before suffering her first defeat last start when fourth to Mikimoto in the Listed $100,000 Burgess Queen Stakes (1400m) at Ascot on November 7.
Hong Kong premiership winning jockey Douglas Whyte takes the mount on Art Series who has drawn around the middle of the pack at barrier nine.
The Darren McAuliffe trained Art Series is on the third line of betting at $8 and is coming off a last start win in the Group 3 $200,000 W.A. Champion Fillies Stakes (1600m) at Ascot on November 18.
