The Melbourne Cup may be done and dusted for another spring but there’s plenty of spring racing action left to play out over the carnival starting with today’s VRC Oaks Day 2017 program, full scratchings and the latest Flemington track report detailed below.

It is a mostly sunny day in Melbourne today and with zero chance of rainfall trackside at Flemington the course proper’s current Good (3) rating is set to stay making for perfect spring racing conditions.

Flemington racing for Oaks Day kicks off at 12:15pm (AEDT) and continues through until Race 9 at 5:45pm (AEDT) when the three-year-old sprinting fillies close the card in the Group 3 $200,000 Kennedy Plate (1100m).

One race earlier the meeting’s feature race is scheduled with the Group 1 $1 million Kennedy Oaks (2500m) featuring all 12 original final acceptors steals the show at 5:00pm (AEDT).
