The third of four Melbourne Cup Carnival race days plays out at Flemington Racecourse today for Crown Oaks Day 2016 – scratchings and a full track report for the meeting detailed below.

It is sunny in Melbourne today, Thursday November 3, and zero chance of rain for Ladies’ Day meaning the Good (4) Flemington track rating is set to stay across the card.

The Flemington Crown Oaks Day program kicks off this afternoon at 12:15pm (AEDT) and continues through until Race 9 at 5:45pm (AEDT).

Two Group 3 races support the day’s feature with the 2016 L’Oreal Paris Stakes (Chatham Stakes) and the 2016 Crown Resorts Plate (Red Roses Stakes) set to run as races six and nine.

Of course the big one on the card is Race 8 – the 2016 Crown Oaks for the three-year-old fillies due to jump at 5:00pm (AEDT).

Yankee Rose is the one to beat and her odds-on price in Crown Oaks betting at Ladbrokes.com.au ($1.65) are short, but she’s hard to bet against.
