Classy local The Grey Gatsby has finished outside the first three only a handful of times in his 13 start career, has found typically good form in the lead-up to the 2015 Prince Of Wales’s Stakes and will leave from the rails draw. Stamping his claims as a serious racehorse through a standout 2014 campaign, the Mastercraftsman entire won the Group 1 Prix Du Jockey Club (2100m) early in his campaign; progressing to another standout victory in the Group 1 Irish Champion Stakes (2012m) in September. Having run a close second in the Group 1 Dubai Turf (1800m) first-up this year, The Grey Gatsby boxed on for a credible fourth in the Group 1 Tattersalls Gold Cup (2112m) most recently on May 24^th.

Owned by Australia’s OTI Racing, Gailo Chop has been confirmed to travel to Victoria for a campaign geared towards the 2016 Cox Plate (2040m) and is sure to figure as a leading chance for success if successful in the 2015 Prince Of Wales’s Stakes. Finishing outside the first three only once in ten career starts, the Deportivo gelding has appeared on course competitively just once this year but finished a close second in the Group 1 Prix D’Ispahan (1850m) on that occasion.

The 2015 Prince Of Wales’s Stakes is due to jump approximately 1:20am AEST tonight.
