Kicking off the Group 1 The Championships racing action in Sydney on Saturday is this year’s ATC Sires’ Produce Stakes 2015, betting tips for the juvenile’s classic found below.

Due to run as Randwick Race 6 at 3:10pm (AEDT), this year’s $1 million Group 1 ATC Sires’ Produce Stakes (1400m) is known simply as the Inglis Sires and features 11 hopefuls.

Inglis Sires betting at Ladbrokes.com.au, who are offering Best Tote or SP + 20% on races six to nine at Randwick this weekend, has Blue Diamond winner Pride Of Dubai at an easy $4.20 to score another Group 1 win and salute as the favourite.

He’s got a host of other up-and-comers hot on his tail however including the Gai Waterhouse-trained Golden Slipper runner-up English ($4.60) looking to keep the good form of the fillies in this race going, Ready For Victory ($5) having just his third career start and Peter Moody’s unbeaten Victorian visitor Pasadena Girl ($5) drawn a treat in gate two.

#7 English ($4.60)

Gai Waterhouse hasn’t won this race with a filly since 2005 with Fashions Afield, her three subsequent winners including Pierro (2012) all males, and this progressive youngster looks just the one to get the job done and give her trainer an eighth victory. She’s drawn out wide in barrier nine for Tommy Berry, the barrier last producing a winner in 2007 with Camarilla, but she can overcome the gate on class alone. The fillies have beaten the boys in the past two editions and this daughter of Reset hopes to be the next. She came close in the world’s richest race for two-year-old when runner-up to stablemate Vancouver in the Group 1 Golden Slipper (1200m) last start, and before that won here at Randwick in the Group 2 Reisling Stakes. She’s done it at the track, has proved herself in Group 1 company and so can improve again with the Slipper form to shine through.

#10 Perignon ($26)

Juicy odds on offer for this Snitzel filly looking to go back-to-back in the race for trainer Gerald Ryan. She’s drawn a treat in barrier four, which produced last year’s winner, and Zac Purton jumps aboard. She was a distant seventh to English in the Reisling Stakes two back but showed good improvement when runner-up in the Magic Night Stakes next start, the same race Peggy Jean ran second in before her Sires’ Produce win last autumn. She needs to prove herself obviously but at 26-1 there’s too much not to like about this nicely-drawn filly.

#1 Pride Of Dubai ($4.20)

Class colt from Team Snowden, this son of Street Cry has had three starts, just the one in Sydney last December, and comes off a Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes victory over 1200m at Caulfield from February 28. Has been freshened-up since then but if he’s got the residual fitness and handles his first poke around Randwick he’ll be right in the finish. Trialled at Warwick Farm when second on March 27, not sure if that was an off-day or not but he’ll need to be better.
