Multiple Group 1 winner Ortensia heads a field of 14 for the Group 1 2013 Oakleigh Plate (1100m) which will take place at Caulfield on Saturday.

The globetrotting mare will carry the joint topweight of 58kg along with defending champion Woorim when she jumps from barrier four in her first-up test.

Woorim will be racing for the first time since the winter but will have to overcome a barrier 13 draw in order to produce a second straight Oakleigh Plate victory.

Unbeaten Perth sprinter Barakey is just behind the pair in the weights with 57kg and has drawn reasonably in barrier eight.

The five-year-old gelding will be chasing a 12th consecutive victory when he steps out for his east-coast debut in the $400,000 handicap sprint.

There is a strong Queensland presence in the field with Spirit Of Boom and Adebisi joining Woorim to represent the sunshine state.

Spirit Of Boom placed at Group 2 level twice during the Spring Carnival and also ran third to Barakey in the Group 1 Winterbottom Stakes at Ascot in November.

Desleigh Forster-trained gelding Adebisi will be chasing a third straight win after taking out the Listed Razor Sharp Quality and the Group 3 Rubiton Stakes at his past two starts.

Also bringing strong form into the race is Sea Lord who won the Group 2 Australia Stakes ahead of quality galloper Pinwheel at his last start on January 25.

There is one three-year-old in the race with unbeaten filly Shamal Wind set to jump from barrier one carrying just 50.5kg.

Shamal Wind is one of two Robert Smerdon-trained gallopers in the field, with Group 1 winner Lone Rock set to be running first-up.

Other Oakleigh Plate runners include Gerald Ryan-trained mare Mrs Onassis and 2012 third placegetter Facile Tigre.
