Earlier this morning the team at Races.com.au published our insider Caulfield Guineas Day 2012 Tips listing our trifecta selections for the nine Caulfield races on today’s program, and below we take a better look at a few of those picks in our best bets of the day letting you know – who you should back and who you should sack.

Odds-on favourite Ocean Park is our tip to win the Caulfield Stakes 2012 today
Lay Of The Day – Race 2 #10 Snitzerland
She’s a classy filly that is in flying form with three from three this season so seeing Snitzerland odds-on at $1.80 through bookmaker.com.au for the Blue Sapphire is non surprising. That said $4.40 for a Group 1 winner in Sizzling is too good to ignore. Lay the filly and take this Queenslander making their Melbourne debut at the better price.
Better Than Bank Interest – Race 5 #6 Ocean Park
There are a couple of odds-on favourites this Caulfield Guineas Day and one that is still at a backable price is Ocean Park in the Caulfield Stakes. He comes off two Group 1 wins this season, firstly at home in NZ and then in the Underwood where he beat better than this. Only faces five rivals following the withdrawal of Moody’s duo including their main rival in Manighar. Easy prey before he faces a big task in the Cox Plate in two weeks.
Best Roughie Of The Day – Race 8 #6 Dance With Her
We’re not saying Dance With Her can upset the overseas-trained favourite Gatewood in the Herbert Power Stakes but at $15 she’s certainly worth an Each Way bet. She comes off an eye-catching second in the JRA Cup, gets her pick of the run from middle gate, has won at Caulfield before and the distance is perfect.
In A Tight Market – Race 3 #8 Saturn Rock
Shaping up as a two horse battle in the Thoroughbred Club Stakes if the odds are anything to go by. Hoss Amor ($3.40) is the narrow favourite after her first-up second behind Snitzerland in the Champagne Stakes but think Champagne third placegetter Saturn Rock who has been backed into $3.80 here will have the fitness edge and finish on top this time.
In The Big One – Race 7 #1 Pierro
It is Pierro, enough said? Yes he’s at $1.22 and will jump the shortest-priced Caulfield Guineas favourite in history this afternoon but seriously, get behind him. Eight from eight, three time Group 1 winner, killed ‘em in the Bill Stutt over the mile the Melbourne way of going last time out, flying in trackwork and their biggest danger Epaulette ($9) could be sketchy over the 1600m. Fourth Group 1 in the bag for this valuable stallion in the making before they attempt to make history as Cox Plate favourite in a fortnight.
