Sepoy wins Blue Diamond Preview for Colts & Geldings
Wearing the Australian colours today Sepoy, with jockey Mark Zahra, came up through the middle of the field in the straight and pulled away to demolish the field, winning by 3.5 lengths from Grand Britannia and Golden Archer a further 1/2 a length back in third.
Sepoy had drifted out to $8.30 in betting for the Listed Blue Diamond Preview (Colts & Geldings) with the punters, who were backing hot favourite Golden Archer. After such a commanding win Sepoy, trained by Peter Snowden, is sure to firm in the betting markets for the Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes. Sepoy has now won both of his 2 career starts.
