The HK$12million (approx. AUS $1.7 million) Group 1 Cathay Pacific Hong Kong Sprint (1200m) boasts the highest number of Australian contenders out of the four feature Group 1 races taking place this Sunday at Sha Tin Racecourse as part of the prestigious Hong Kong International Raceday.

The three star Aussie gallopers have received mix luck in the barrier draw in the 14-horse field.

The Dan Morton-trained Scenic Blast now sits as third favourite for the premier sprint event after the five-year-old drew a beneficial gate three while current equal favourite in the betting markets, All Silent?s odds have drifted slightly after the Grahame Begg-trained Group 1 winner drew on the extreme outside with the outside barrier 14.

Apache Cat, the final Aussie runner and last year?s third placegtter, will start from barrier nine.

The Hong Kong Sprint will run as race five at the meeting on Sunday and is due to start at 5:40pm.
