The weather trackside in Adelaide today is for a partly cloudy but otherwise fine afternoon and the current Soft (5) Morphettville track rating looks set to remain across the day.

Adelaide racing is underway from 11:26am (ACST) and the nine-race The Goodwood card continues through until 4:35pm (ACST).

Punters are treated to four Group status races on the program but the marquee event everyone is tuning in for is scheduled as Morphettville Race 8 at 3:52pm (ACST) with the 2021 The Goodwood to run at 4:22pm (AEST).

The Group 1 $502,250 The Goodwood field is a star-studded affair with all eleven original acceptors still in the mix.

The Goodwood odds online at Ladbrokes.com.au are dominated by Gordon Richard’s returning Yes Yes Yes Stakes winner Gytrash.

The classy chestnut has been in the paddock since the spring after undergoing minor surgery for bone chips in his knee, but by all reports is back fit and ready to fire and improve on his second to Trekking in last year’s The Goodwood results.
