Sky Boy draws barrier 9 in 2018 Villiers Stakes
In-form galloper Sky Boy has been installed the favourite despite drawing barrier nine in the Group 2 $250,000 Fugen Construction Villiers Stakes (1600m) at Randwick on Saturday.

Sky Boy will be facing open company for the first time in fifteen horse Villiers Stakes field as he chases his fifth win on trot after working his way up through the grades.
Christian Reith has been aboard the Pendragon four year old for his last three wins and gets the ride again in the Villiers Stakes over the famous Randwick Mile.
Co-trainer Anthony Cummings is hoping the winning streak continues as a win by Sky Boy in the Villiers Stakes will guarantee a spot in the 2019 Group 1 $3m The Star Doncaster Mile (1600m) at Randwick on April 6, Day One of The Championships.
“The plan is to win the Villiers which gets him into the Doncaster Mile,” Cummings told AAP.
Sky Boy has been installed as the $4 favourite at Ladbrokes.com.au for the Villiers Stakes ahead of the Chris Waller trained My Nordic Hero at $7 and James Cummings’ Gaulois at $9.50.
Hugh Bowman takes the ride on My Nordic Hero who drew barrier ten and Waller will also saddle up Satono Rasen from the inside gate with Jason Collett in the saddle and Sambro from barrier seven for Jay Ford.
Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott will saddle up the top weight Fabrizio who has drawn barrier eleven with Josh Parr to ride.
