The forecast is for rain in Melbourne across the afternoon meaning there could potentially be a downgrade to the current Soft (6) Caulfield track rating as the Saturday racing gets underway.

Racing at Caulfield kicks off at 11:50am (AEST) with the nine-race card continuing through until the last at 4:43pm (AEST).

There is just the one Black-Type on the line-up with the Group 3 $128,000 Neds Sir John Monash Stakes (1100m) set to run as Race 7 at 3:35pm (AEST).

The 2020 Sir John Monash Stakes field features all nine original acceptors led in betting by the Godolphin-raced Winter Dash winner Viridine who is at $2.45 and firming through Ladbrokes.com.au.
