2021 Kennedy Cantala Results

The official Kennedy Cantala 2021 Results & Finishing Order will be published below once the VRC Derby Day race takes place on the first Saturday of November.

The Kennedy Cantala is one of four Group 1 races run at Flemington Racecourse on Victoria Derby Day, the opening of four Melbourne Cup Carnival meetings. Kennedy Cantala results are eagerly anticipated every year and for the first time in 2016 were known a week earlier than previous, the race moved and renamed from the Emirates Stakes.

Past Kennedy Cantala Results

The Kennedy Cantala results usually appear online at bookmakers including Ladbrokes.com.au within minutes of being announced on the track, so you do not have to worry about missing out on vital information if you do your Kennedy Cantala betting online. In fact, our racing news section will feature the latest Kennedy Cantala results as soon as they are available.

If you are looking the bet on this race, then think about checking out past results of the old Emirates Stakes. Contenders often return to compete in the Kennedy Cantala more than once, as the race is open to any thoroughbred over the age of three, so you can occasionally bet on runners who have previously won. Also, look into the history that specific jockeys and trainers have had with the Kennedy Mile, as horse racing professionals often have ‘signature events’ in which they tend to do very well.

Punters need to look back to Seascay (1994-95) to find the past back-to-back Kennedy Mile winner, then the Emirates Stakes.

Kennedy Cantala Winners

Kennedy Cantala winners often go on to do well in other prestigious horse racing fixtures. Divine Madonna, winner of the 2006 Emirates Stakes, went on to win three more Group One races; the Queen of the Turf Stakes, the Toorak Handicap and the Myer Classic, all in 2007. Another legend of the Emirates Stakes is Shaftsbury Avenue, who dominated the Australian Group One circuit during the early ‘90s.

Betting on an Kennedy Cantala winner in a later race might give you a good chance of winning or placing; so doing a little research can never hurt. Although a previous win is no guarantee for a good performance, it is always good to know your selection has a reputation as a strong contender.

Recent Kennedy Cantala Results

Up until 2015 this race was run as the Emirates Stakes, which is now replacing the old Mackinnon Stakes.
