It is sunny skies in Sydney today with a top temperature of 24 degrees and with zero chance of rain the current Good (4) Randwick track rating looks set to remain across the afternoon.

Sydney racing at Randwick kicks off at 12:05pm (AEST) with the nine-race card coming to a close at 5:05pm (AEST).

Punters are treated to five Group status races starting with the Group 3 $160,000 2019 Up And Coming Stakes (1300m) at 1:15pm (Race 3) for the three-year-old Golden Rose Stakes types.

The key support act on the card is Race 5 – the Group 2 $200,000 2019 Silver Shadow Stakes (1200m) for the three-year-old fillies.

There are three scratchings from the Silver Shadow Stakes field with the Chris Waller-trained du of Lucicello (9) and Catwalk (7) both out along with the Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott-trained Mistress Mouse (6).

Only Lucicello is down to run in another event on the program, The Rosebud placegetter taking on the colts and geldings in the Up And Coming Stakes field.

Another three horses have come out of the Group 3 $160,000 2019 Show County Quality (1200m) field (Race 6) with the top-weight Dreamforce (14), Brisbane galloper Handsome Thief (3) and Lisdoonvarna (7) leaving a field of 11 in the sprint clash.

All 10 original acceptors remain in the mix for the day’s marquee event with a supercharged showdown set for this year’s Group 1 $500,000 2019 Winx Stakes (1400m) at 3:45pm (Race 7).

Leading the latest Winx Stakes odds at Ladbrokes.com.au is returning Godolphin galloper Avilius ($3.20) who races fresh looking for his first win over less than a mile.

The last of the Group races on the Randwick card today is the Group 3 $160,000 2019 Toy Show Quality (1100m) for the fillies and mares with a full field of 14, including emergency Tell Me (4) coming in for the scratching Bleu Roche (11).
