Jersey Lily wins the last on Chipping Norton Stakes Day
She got out of the blocks ok and set herself up with a prime run going around the turn just behind the hot favourite Kiss From A Rose.
Once the hit the strait though she blew past her more fancied rival who didn’t really offer anything in the final 400m.
Jersey Lily was the winner with 200m to go taking the race by a solid margin on the line.
Making up ground late was Turnstiles which struggled to find a run but looked good once it found some space.
The favourite did eventually come home and grab third however it was more to do with a lack of other fast finishers more than her own pace.
It’s a good win for a consistent racehorse which has the ability to match it with the majority of top sprinter sin the country.
From here she gets entry into the Coolmore which will be a genuine test of her class but now doubt she’ll be up to the challenge and finish there or there abouts.
Turnstiles which has had good success at regional events will have no doubt found some support after this run so be on the look out for that name because with a bit more luck the result may have been different.
For Kiss From A Rose the future is a little unclear but she definitely needs to start repaying some of the faith that keeps being shown by plenty of punters.
