Beaded is set to run in the 2011 Robert Sangster Stakes at Morphettville
Five-year-old Beaded scored a tidy one and a half length victory as the $2.60 favourite first-up in the $125,000 Group 3 Hyderabad Race Club Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield’s CF Orr Stakes Day on February 12.
She overcame a wide barrier 15 draw and carried a decent 57.5kg to victory in the Hyderabad Race Club Stakes on Saturday, resuming after a light spring campaign.
Last season Beaded started just once when running second behind Whitefriars in the Group 2 Salinger Stakes (1200m) at Flemington on Victoria Derby Day.
After Saturday’s race, which was the mare’s second Group success after she won the Group 3 Darley BRC Sprint (1350m) at last year’s Brisbane Winter Racing Carnival, Snowden said a trip to South Australia at the end of the season was on the cards.
Beaded will run against her own company in the fillies and mares weight-for-age Group 1 Robert Sangster Stakes (1200m) at Morphettville on March 26.
To date Beaded has won nine of her 17 career starts earning in excess of $660,000 in prize money for her connections including owner Sheikh Mohammed.
She has twice placed at Group 1 level finishing third to Melito in the Winter Stakes (1400m) at Eagle Farm on June 26 last year after also running third behind star mare Hot Danish in the All Aged Stakes (1400m) at Randwick on April 24 during the autumn.
On way to the Robert Sangster Stakes Beaded is expected to run in the mares-only Group 3 Frances Tressday Stakes (1400m) at Flemington March 5, the race known as the PFD Food Services Stakes this year.
