Acorns wins Caulfield Race 8 Rokk Ebony Cup
5-year-old gelding Acorns, with jockey Damien Oliver, pulled away to win by a long neck in the 1000m sprint from Zedi Knight with Happy Glen a head away in third.
Heavily backed favourite Quick Peek had a bad jump at the start and did not look comfortable during the race to never threaten the leaders and finish 7th.
Acorns, trained by Mike Price, might next head to the Group 1 Oakleigh Plate at Caulfield on Saturday 26th February.
Acorns’ career results now stands at 5 wins from 9 starts, with 1 second and 1 third place.
