Over 108,000 racing enthusiasts have made their way to today’s Victoria Derby Day races at Flemington racetrack.

Already boasting a near sellout yesterday, Racing Victoria is more than pleased with the turnout today.

Currently rated a dead 4, Flemington racetrack may be a possible 3 later on in the day.

With a maximum of 30 degrees Celcius expected, there is a prediction of storms later on in the day.

The windy race conditions may affect the races as the horses can be pushed closer to the rail on the straight.
