Kidnapped has won the 2009 Carbine Club Stakes, Race 1 of Victoria Derby Day, by a length and a half in front of Disco Summit and Ruse De Gureer.
Gaining speed at the 300m mark, the Kerrin McEvoy-ridden gelding started at the back of the pack until the 300m mark when he gained speed to be in the lead at 100m.
His trainer Peter Snowden was very impressed with the three year olds performance stating that he was a nice quality horse.
The 1600m race was first led by Hotham Heights, followed by Gangland, The Comedian and in fourth place was Euphemism.
With 900m left, Hotham Heights maintained the lead however tired around the 400m to slip back into the pack.
