Jolie’s Shinju Makes Comeback At Caulfield This Saturday

Acceptances for this Saturday’s Caulfield Meeting have been released with a total of 142 starters attending the event.

The biggest story of the day however is the comeback of Singapore mare Jolie’s Shinju (JPN) which will be competing in the Group 2 Harrolds Stakes (1400m) under jockey Vlad Duric.

The mare had her worst career run last month in the Listed JRA Cup where she ran second last to Alcopop.

After it was revealed that the five year old had an irregular heartbeat, her spring campaign was declared over and was ruled out of the Yalumba Stakes.

However after close monitoring by a remote ECG device during training Jolie’s Shinju was given the all clear to race again.

The Singapore sensation will be up against strong contenders Hot Danish and the Caulfield trained Typhoon Tracy.

After tomorrow’s race, Jolie’s Shinju may go on to compete in the 2040m Cox Plate.
