The Group 1 $1 million George Ryder Stakes (1500m) features only six horses and Winx is looking for a three-peat, as she did winning three editions of the Ladbrokes Cox Plate last spring, having taken out the weight-for-age race in 2016 and 2017.

Last year in the George Ryder Stakes results Winx was particularly impressive romping home by seven lengths over Le Romain (2nd) in the wet and the Chris Waller-trained six-year-old gets another Heavy-rated Rosehill track for her next race today.
Winx odds are short but drifting out to $1.16 in the latest George Ryder Stakes betting markets at Ladbrokes.com.au as the champion chases a world record 17th Group 1 flat race victory and her 24th consecutive turf triumph.
Winx joined Black Caviar with the Australian Group 1 race record of 16 victories with her excellent first-up win in the Chipping Norton Stakes over the Randwick mile last start.
Now she is after the world record, set to surpass that of American 1980’s champion John Henry.
