Sheiswhatsheis can add to Gollan’s premiership record in 2018 Tattersall’s Mile

Doomben Mile specialist Sheiswhatsheis can add to trainer Tony Gollan’s record breaking premiership tally when she lines up in the Listed $100,000 Sky Racing Tattersall’s Mile (1600m) at Doomben.

Gollan is set to claim his fifth Brisbane trainer’s premiership when the 2017 – 2018 racing season comes to a close at the end of July and crept past his record of 86.5 winners that he set in 2015 – 2016 when Wednesday’s Gold Coast winner Daring Deeds took the Eagle Farm trainer’s tally for this season to 87 Metropolitan winners.

“It’s terrific to do this again. It was great the first time (2015/16) and then last year to get so close to the mark again,” Gollan told Racing Queensland News.

“This season has been fantastic due to a great effort by my staff and the entire team working behind the scenes.”

Gollan will saddle up nine runners at Doomben on Saturday with Sheiswhatsheis leading the stable’s charge in the Tattersall’s Mile.

Sheiswhatsheis is a six times winner over the Doomben Mile and is on the third line of betting at $6 for the Tattersall’s Mile with Ladbrokes.com.au.

The Kris Lees trained Princess Posh at $3.80 and Robert Heathcote’s No Annamossity at $3.90 are fighting it out at the top of the market order for favouritism.

Brisbane’s leading jockey Jeff Lloyd takes the ride again on Sheiswhatsheis who will be able to use her early speed to overcome barrier twelve in the Tattersall’s Mile field that has been reduced to fifteen runners with the early scratching of the Chris Waller trained Dagny who is an acceptor for the BenchMark 92 Handicap (1600m) at Randwick on Saturday.

“Sheiswhatsheis won the Listed Members Cup at the start of the carnival. She does like the Doomben 1600 metres and the Tatt’s race is ideal for her,” Gollan told AAP.

“Jeff has won on her and his style of letting her roll along suits.”

The front running six year old mare was last in the winner’s stall four starts back over the same course and distance as the Tattersall’s Mile when she led all of the way to win the Listed $100,000 Members’ Handicap (1600m) at Doomben on May 12 while Sheiswhatsheis goes into Saturday’s contest on the back of a last start fifth in the Listed $100,000 G.H. Mumm (1615m) at Doomben on June 23.

Princess Posh is stepping up in class and distance after winning a BenchMark 85 Handicap for the fillies and mares over 1350m at Doomben on July 7 while No Annamossity won a similar race for the colts, geldings and entires on the same day.
