“Look at a filly like Secret Admirer, she was able to go from winning a maiden to beating this same group of fillies to win the Group 1 Flight Stakes in her first preparation,” James Cummings said.

“She (Secret Admirer) proves it can be done if you have a horse with the ability. We have always thought a fair bit of (Kim Heaven), she was trained up and ready to race six months ago but Bart decided to give her a little bit more time to mature.”

James Cummings said that the placement of Kim Heaven in this race was as much about timing as it was about ability.

“We brought her back and were able to knock off a maiden first-up but there are no really suitable races for her,” he said.

“Our hands have been tied a little because she is going to have to transform the potential into ability very quickly against the good fillies.”

Peter Snowden’s Parables will also be contesting the 2011 Surround Stakes, after a first-up third place finish in the Light Fingers Stakes on February 12.

Parables has won two of her eight career starts and has never failed to finish in the placings.

The Lonhro filly has drawn barrier seven in the 2011 Surround Stakes and will be ridden by jockey Corey Brown.
