2020 Kennedy Oaks Day: Flemington Scratchings & Track Report

Day 3 of the Melbourne Cup Carnival takes place at Flemington Racecourse today, Thursday November 5, for Kennedy Oaks Day 2020 and below the Races.com.au team take a look at the official scratchings and track report from HQ ahead of the first.

The Melbourne forecast is for a cool and partly cloudy day and without any rainfall on the radar the current Soft (5) Flemington track rating looks set to remain across the afternoon.

Flemington racing gets underway on Oaks Day at 12:40pm (AEDT) and the nine-race program continues through until the three-year-old sprinting fillies face off in the Group 3 Red Roses Stakes at 5:50pm (AEDT).

The first Group feature on Ladies Day takes place in Race 2 with the Group 3 Ottawa Stakes for the two-year-old fillies, Debutant Stakes winner Fake Love the hot favourite in a field of 11 following three official scratchings.

The marquee event is the Group 1 $1 million Kennedy Oaks (2500m) running as Race 8 at 5:10pm (AEDT) and all 14 original acceptors remain in contention and the Flight Stakes – Spring Champion double champion Montefilia ($1.90) is into odds-on territory at Ladbrokes.com.au.
