Godolphin filly Alizee returned to the races for a comfortable mid-week win a fortnight ago and remains the sole occupant of the top line of Silver Shadow Stakes betting at a $2.45 quote with leading online bookie Ladbrokes.com.au.

Fourth on debut at Randwick on February 15th, Alizee made a commendable transition to black type company when second behind Tulip in the Group 3 Magic Night Stakes (1200m) at only her second career start.

Sent to the paddock after she tailed off to finish fifth in the Group 3 Kindergarten Stakes (1100m) on Day 1 of The Championships, the Sepoy filly jogged clear of her rivals at Warwick Farm first-up and found the line a comfortable length ahead of closest rival Songlike.

Formality has continued to receive steady support in 2017 Silver Shadow Stakes betting markets and remains sole occupant of the second line at $3.30 odds.

One of several smart juveniles for the Lindsay Park operation through autumn, Formality was a dominant winner at Werribee on debut before posting a comfortable win in the Group 3 Chairman’s Stakes (1000m) on February 4th.

Running third in the Group 1 Ladbrokes Blue Diamond Stakes (1200m) at only her third career start, the Fastnet Rock filly failed to produced much when fourteenth in the Group 1 Golden Slipper (1200m), but worked home well to finish second in the Group 2 Percy Sykes Stakes (1200m) at her most recent appearance.

Having trialled well in the lead-up to her competitive return, Formality should prove extremely difficult to beat in the Silver Shadow Stakes first-up.

Champagne Cuddles as so-far received the greatest market share of bets to win the Group 2 races and has firmed onto the third line of Silver Shadow Stakes betting at $3.40 odds.

A comfortable winner of the Pierro Plate (1100m) on debut in October last year, Champagne Cuddles resumed in June for another easy win in the Club Redfern Plate (1000m) and has trialled exceedingly well in the lead-up to this race.

While facing her first start under black type conditions, the Not A Single Doubt filly is drawn well in barrier 2, with inform hoop Tye Angland in the saddle.

One More Honey ($10) and Villa Carlotta ($12) complete the 2017 Silver Shadow Stakes field.
