Running as Rosehill Race 4 at 2:25pm (AEDT) on Coolmore Classic Day, a capacity field of two-year-old fillies is in the mix for this season’s $175,000 Group 3 Magic Night Stakes (1200m).

The latest Magic Night Stakes odds at have Limbo Soul ($3.40) on top, Tim Martin’s locally-trained I Am Invincible filly coming off a win on debut at the track by over three lengths.

If she doesn’t show-up second-up the next best in Magic Night Stakes betting out to secure start in the $3.5 million Group 1 Golden Slipper a week later are the market mover Sweet Deal ($5) and Tulip ($5.50) out to frank the Ladbrokes Blue Diamond Stakes form.

So will Limbo Soul remain undefeated after the Magic Night Stakes results or is there another filly that stacks-up better form-wide to get behind at generous odds on the weekend?

#1 Tulip ($5.50)

Lindsay Park prepared three of the first four over the line in the Ladbrokes Blue Diamond Stakes in Melbourne including this fourth-placed Pierro filly who was under two and a half lengths beaten by her winning stablemate Catchy. She’s yet to race in Sydney, but it was a cracker edition of the Diamond and happy to follow that form line into this and have her posting a first win since a successful Moonee Valley debut on New Year’s Eve.

#3 Sweet Deal ($5)

Rails run belongs to this improving John Thompson-trained daughter of Casino Prince who is looking to break her maiden status three runs in. Debut at Rosehill in late January produced a good third under a length off Teaspoon in the Group 3 Widden Stakes. Last start second in the Inglis Classic behind subsequent Reisling Stakes winner Frolic also stacks-up. Winning chance from the barrier.

#14 Alizee ($6.50)

Barrier four draw for John O’Shea’s nicely-bred Sepoy filly who has just her second career start. Fourth over 1000m on debut as the beaten odds-on favourite. Winning Rosehill trial in the meantime and shapes-up as a danger off the freshen-up donning the Godolphin Royal Blue.
