The weather in Melbourne has been absolutely perfect all week long and the Caulfield track will be in simply outstanding condition as it always is for big race days.

The rail will be out six metres for the entire circuit and this should ensure that every horse gets every possible chance no matter where they settle in the run.

Caulfield Track Report 27/08/2016

  • Rail: +6m Entire Circuit
  • Weather: Fine
  • Track Type: Turf

The Memsie Stakes is the first Group 1 of the new racing season and there have been a couple of notable scratchings in the race.

Lord Of The Sky was expected to take up the running in the Memsie Stakes, but he has been scratched due to a potential tendon issue and Trent Busuttin has elected to save Australian Derby winner Tavago for the Makybe Diva Stakes in a fortnight.

You can find betting markets for the Memsie Stakes and every single race at Caulfield this afternoon with leading online bookmaker Ladbrokes.com.au.
