All eight original final acceptors are still in the mix for this year’s $600,000 Group 1 Schweppes All Aged Stakes (1400m), the weight-for-age showdown due to run as Randwick Race 7 at 3:45pm (AEST) on the nine-race card.

Favourite in All Aged Stakes betting at is the Chris Waller-trained Hinchinbrook colt Press Statement, winner of the Group 1 Caulfield Guineas (1600m) in the spring.

The gun three-year-old has had three runs this time in and won over this track / distance three back first-up in the Hobartville Stakes.

He has placed twice in Group 1 class twice after that including the George Ryder Stakes third to Winx and has been freshened-up since, looking the one to beat at $3.50 dropping back to 1400m with Hugh Bowman riding.

His biggest dangers according to the markets are the Gai Waterhouse-trained filly English ($4.60) drawn one on his outside in barrier seven and the flying Malaguerra ($4) who faces his toughest test to date looking to extend a smart winning streak.

Earlier in the week we published a comprehensive All Aged Stakes 2016 form guide and betting preview.
