Due to run as Rosehill Race 2 at 1:20pm (AEDT), this season’s $150,000 Group 3 The Schweppervescence (1400m) will run at capacity with 14 starters including first emergency Crown Him who comes in for early scratching Pray To The Sky (10).

Leading the latest The Schweppervescence betting at Ladbrokes.com.au paying $5 for the win is Crafty Cop prepared by Michael, Wayne & John Hawkes.

The Starcraft colt won on debut last time out at Warwick Farm over 1100m by nearly three lengths, jockey Tommy Berry retaining the ride on Saturday.

The step up in distance looks a non-issue for Crafty Cop who is drawn in gate nine but is likely to start from just worse than midfield in barrier eight.

Four other runners are also under $10 for the win including the rails-drawn filly Moqueen ($7) out to break her maiden status at her third career run.

Anthony Cummings’ daughter of Uncle Mo was last seen finishing only a length away third to French Fern in the Group 2 Reisling Stakes (1200m) at Randwick, and from the inside barrier with Damien Oliver aboard she’s a livewire hope up against the boys this weekend.

Also high up the markets are the likes of Peter & Paul Snowden’s last start Wyong winning Snitzel colt Reinforced ($7.50) who has Hong Kong-based hoop Brett Prebble riding, the James Cummings-trained Rock And Swing ($8) and his Group 3 placed stablemate Prized Icon ($8) drawn wide.

So will the favourite salute or is there value to be found tipping an upset The Schweppervescence result this season from the likes of market mover Attention ($11) who also represents Team Snowden or yet another runner for the stable Taj Mahal ($12)?

#13 Moqueen ($7)

Tipping this filly from the in-form Cummings’ stables to get the job done over the boys from her brilliant barrier one draw. She ran fourth at the track narrowly beaten on debut before an improved third in Group 2 company at the start of the month. Oliver comes aboard here and if she handles the extra metres she’s right up to winning this.

#1 Prized Icon ($8)

The best-tried of the runners, this More Than Ready colt is a dual black-type placegetter. At Randwick in mid-February he crossed second to subsequent Golden Slipper fourth placed Telperion in the Listed Lonhro Plate (1100m) before a trip to Canberra produced a Group 3 Black Opal Stakes (1200m) third to Defcon. The extra metres should serve him well, but he’ll need luck from the barrier (14) and Bowman is off him to ride the stablemate Rock And Swing – right move?

#8 Reinforced ($7.50)

It’s an open field in these juvenile races with plenty of livewire hopes to fill the placings, but Reinforced caught the eye posing his maiden win three runs in at Wyong on March 3. It was narrow, but he did it with 58kg over 1350m and has trialled well since. The Snowdens are master trainers of two-year-olds – see Capitalist’s Golden Slipper success. This runner is well-drawn in gate seven and Prebble rides.
