The Hinchinbrook colt has amassed over $1.27 million in prize money with five wins and a second from his seven career starts to date, the most recent of which was a victory in the Group 1 Caulfield Guineas (1600m) last October.

The three-year-old’s only unplaced run was a fifth to Exosphere in the Group 1 Golden Rose Stakes (1400m) last September.

Press Statement is also a dual elite level champion having saluted in Doomben’s Group 1 JJ Atkins (1600m) last May before his Caulfield Guineas success over the same distance in the spring.

Proving a more than handy youngster for Waller, Press Statement is nominated for a host of both Melbourne and Sydney features over the Autumn Racing Carnival.

His Victorian entries include both the Group 2 Autumn Stakes (1400m) and the Group 1 CF Orr Stakes (1400m) this weekend at Caulfield Racecourse.

The proven performer is also entered for the Group 2 Apollo Stakes (1400m) at Randwick, but Waller and the team will delay his first-up run and instead head straight to the $200,000 Group 2 Hobartville Stakes (1400m) on February 20.

The stable also confirmed Victorian racing fans were unlikely to see the galloper further into the autumn despite Press Statement holding nominations for the Group 1 Australian Guineas (1600m) on March 5 and the Group 1 Australian Cup (2000m)on March 12.

On Monday Racing NSW took nominations for all of the Group 1 The Championships races held over April 2 and 9 at Randwick Racecourse.

Press Statement features in the early entries for three Group 1 races during the autumn’s pinnacle of racing entered for the $3 million Group 1 Doncaster Mile (1600m) and the $2.5 million Group 1 TJ Smith Stakes (1200m) on Day 1 and the $4 million Group 1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes (2000m) on Day 2.

After the Hobartville Stakes the boom youngster is set to head into his first top level test of his campaign, the $1 million Group 1 Royal Randwick Guineas (1600m) on March 5 where Waller shoots for his first win in the race.

Third-up Press Statement will take on the older horses in the $1 million Group 1 George Ryder Stakes (1500m) on Golden Slipper Day, March 19.

Waller prepared three consecutive George Ryder Stakes winners from 2010-12 with Danleigh, Rangirangdoo and Metal Bender respectively.

Press Statement’s Cox Plate winning stablemate Winx meanwhile will kick off her autumn in the Apollo Stakes on Saturday along with Waller’s Sydney Cup quinella from last year Grand Marshal and Who Shot Thebarman.

Two Waller-trained sprint stars Delectation and Japonisme will give the Melbourne fans something to cheer on when they face off in the $750,000 Group 1 Black Caviar Lightning (1000m) down the Flemington straight on February 20.

Shamardal four-year-old Delectation was last seen beating home Chautauqua in the Group 1 Darley Classic (1200m) last November, while Choisir three-year-old Japonisme won the Group 1 Coolmore Stud Stakes at the same track and distance on Derby Day.
