There was plenty of rain in Queensland at the start of the week, but there has been beautiful weather since Wednesday and it is another outstanding day at the Gold Coast for their biggest raceday of the year.

The much-maligned Gold Coast track is currently rated as a good four, but local experts believe that it could be upgraded to a good three before the Magic Millions Guineas and Magic Millions Classic are contested.

Leading online bookmaker Ladbrokes.com.au is celebrating Magic Millions Raceday by offering Best Tote or SP + 20% on ALL 9 races!

Gold Coast Track Report

  • Weather: Fine
  • Track Conditions: Good 4
  • Penetrometer: 4.60
  • Rail: +0.5 1000m-400m, True Remainder

The 2016 Magic Millions Classic is the feature race at the Gold Coast this afternoon and there has been plenty of drama in the lead-up after three horses were controversially scratched from the race.

Trainer Toby Edmonds was forced to pull Sundance out of the race due to an issue with a foot abscess, but the connections of both Dieters and Conchita were both unhappy that their horses have been removed from the race at the order of Racing Queensland stewards.

There have been a number of other scratchings in the other eight races on the card and we have all the information that you need to know below.
