The set weights plus penalties race for three-year-old fillies’ features 16 confirmed starters plus one emergency and the $150,000 Group 3 New Zealand Bloodstock Ethereal Stakes (2000m) is set to jump at 2:35pm (AEST) as Caulfield Race 4.

Leading the latest Ethereal Stakes odds at, who are offering an Extra 50% on your very first Fixed Odds Win bet on Races 1 – 5 at Caulfield Cup Day, is Godolphin’s daughter of Street Cry Ambience.

Coming off back-to-back wins, drawn a treat in barrier two and top hoop James McDonald riding are all boxes ticked and she has been well-supported early backed in from $2.80 to $2.30 to make it a winning hat-trick in her Group race debut.

Last time out she saluted over the Randwick mile in the Listed Dulcify Stakes (1600m) on October 3, and is tipped to enjoy the extra metres in her Melbourne debut at career start number five this Saturday.

Just two of her rivals are also rated single-figure hopes in the current Ethereal Stakes betting markets this Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival with the in-form Honesta ($3.60) and lightly-raced Dawn Of Hope ($7).

John Thompson prepares the super consistent Monaco Consul grey Honesta who has two wins and three seconds from seven starts so far, including her last start second to Speak Fondly when just nosed out of the Group 1 Flight Stakes (1600m) success in Sydney on October 3.

She drops in class on Saturday as she steps up to 2000m for the first time and has her maiden Melbourne run with Craig Williams riding her from barrier seven.

Dawn Of Hope meanwhile has a gun gate four draw for jockey Damian Lane who rides the David Hayes & Tom Dabernig-trained daughter of Fastnet Rock who comes off a 1506m win at Benalla from the start of the month at just her second start.

At juicier prices to score an upset Ethereal Stakes result this weekend on way to the $300,000 Group 2 Wakeful Stakes (2000m) at Flemington on Victoria Derby Day Saturday week before a possible 2015 Crown Oaks bid are Alittle Loose ($12) and Wichita Woman ($14).

Michael Kent prepares Onemorenomore filly Alittle Loose from his Cranbourne stable and she beat home the Michael Moroney-trained maiden Wichita Woman when the Ethereal Stakes hopes ran one-two in a 1600m Ballarat lead-up on September 30.
