Ball Of Muscle ran a close second to Buffering in the Group 1 Moir Stakes (1000m) a fortnight ago and will be hard to beat in the 2015 Caulfield Sprint after drawing the ideal barrier 4.

Yet to finish outside the first three through sixteen career starts, Ball Of Muscle returned this year for a close second in a Flemington minor over 1000m on April 11th; progressing to second behind Srikandi in the Group 2 Victory Stakes (1200m) before returning to the winner’s circle in the Group 2 QTC Cup (1200m) on May 30th.

Having run on for third in the Group 3 Concorde Stakes (1000m) first-up this time, the Dubawi gelding placing an agonizingly-close second to Rebel Dane in the Group 2 The Shorts (1100m) in his only other start prior to the Moir Stakes.

Headwater produced his best effort for the season when fourth in the Moir Stakes and is sure to have taken plenty of benefit from the run ahead of the Caulfield Sprint.

Stamping his claims as a colt to watch when taking out the Group 2 Silver Slipper (1100m) at only his second competitive start in autumn, the son of Exceed And Excel progressed to third in the Group 2 Todman Stakes (1200m) and fifth in the Group 1 Golden Slipper (1200m) before returning to the paddock.

Kinglike has appeared on course only three times competitively, but carries winning form into the Caulfield Sprint and should receive a dream run from barrier 5, with last start hoop Glen Boss aboard.

Running second in a minor over 1100m on debut before posting a maiden win in the Charter Keck Kramer Handicap (1200m) on May 30th, Kinglike delivered a classy field a resounding defeat in the Group 2 Danehill Stakes (1200m) first-up this time and should relish the conditions on Saturday.

Kuro has quickly found form in his short time under the guidance of Lee and Anthony Freedman this season, but may require some luck in running on Saturday from barrier 7.

Capping a strong 2014 campaign third in the Group 1 Coolmore Stud Stakes (1200m) in early November, Kuro returned this year for third in the Listed Fireball Stakes (1100m) before running second behind Sweet Idea in the Group 1 The Galaxy (1100m).

While failing to fire and eighth in the Group 2 Arrowfield Sprint (1200m) on Day 2 of The Championships, Kuro returned to great condition through the Brisbane Winter Carnival; winning the Listed Mick Dittman Plate (1200m) and running third in the QTC Cup.

Having clearly needed the run when eighth in the Group 2 McEwen Stakes (1000m) first-up on September 5th, the Denman entire responded well when third amongst talented company in the Le Pine Funerals Handicap (1100m) last time out on September 26th.
