Mogador ($2.40) has remained outright favourite in Blue Sapphire Stakes betting markets with leading online bookie Ladbrokes.com.au and has re-firmed following the scratching of Kinglike this morning; ahead of Keen Array ($2.45) and Raphael’s Cat ($6.50).

Will Mogador justify favouritism and win the 2015 Blue Sapphire Stakes or will one of his many talented rivals find the line in the clear?

Haptic ($7.50)

The second Godolphin entrant in the 2015 Blue Sapphire Stakes, Haptic has found strong and consistent form amongst black type company this season and undoubtedly offers punters the best value for money for success at current $7.50 odds. Posting two wins and as many minors through five starts so far, the Exceed And Excel gelding stamped his claims as one to watch when beating a classy field to the line in the Listed Lonhro Plate (1100m) on February 14^th, but failed to fire in the Group 1 Golden Slipper (1200m). Having placed third in the Group 3 San Domenico Stakes (1100m) and second in the Listed Heritage Stakes (1100m) so far this time, Haptic will be partnered by Dwayne Dunn this afternoon and will be tough to beat.

Mogador ($2.40)

Godolphin could very well quinella this 2015 Blue Sapphire Stakes but Mogador will need some luck in running if to figure from the outside barrier this afternoon. Returning to the paddock after placing fourth in the Group 2 Skyline Stakes (1200m) on February 28^th, Mogador returned in winter for a solitary start and maiden race win in the TAB Place Multi Maiden (1100m) on June 6^th. Having taken out a Warwick Farm minor over 1000m first-up this time, Mogador’s class is sure to count for a lot in the Blue Sapphire Stakes.

Black Vanquish ($14)

Black Vanquish was luckless in his first-up run for seventh in the Group 2 Danehill Stakes (1200m), but will have taken plenty of benefit from the hit-out and will relish a step back in class for the 2015 Blue Sapphire Stakes this afternoon. Interestingly rated an outsider in the Blue Sapphire Stakes field, the classy son of Lonhro beat a talented field to the line in the Starlight Children’s Foundation Handicap (1200m) on April 11^th before making a perfect transition to black type racing with success in the Listed Thoroughbred Club Cup (1200m) in early May.
