Number one saddlecloth holder Miss Rose De Lago will be ridden by top Kiwi jockey Opie Bosson and has drawn towards the outside at barrier nine.

Miss Rose De Lago can race on the pace or back in the field and Bosson will have several options after drawing in the second half of the field.

The Danny O’Brien trained mare scored two starts back when she crossed from barrier eleven to lead all of the way in the $80,000 The Champagne Pommery Masters Handicap (1800m) at Caulfield on July 25.

At her latest start the Encosta De Lago mare raced just off the pace when fourth to Amicus in the Group 2 $200,000 Let’s Elope Stakes (1400m) at Flemington on September 12.

Lucky Lago has drawn the inside gate and showed improvement last start when third to La Passe in the Group 2 $200,000 Blazer Stakes (1400m) at Flemington on October 4.

Mark Zahra rode the Lee and Anthony Freedman trained mare in the Blazer Stakes and has retained the ride on Wednesday.

The Freedman’s will also saddle up Inishowen with Craig Newitt to ride from barrier four.

Inishowwen has had one run back from a spell for a seventh in a 1200m Ballarat BenchMark 78 on September 30.

Amarlea is stepping up in class after scoring over the same course and distance as the Ladies Day Vase on October 3 with Luke Currie to ride again from gate seven.

Amarlea was tested at Group 2 level two starts when a well beaten tenth in the Let’s Elope Stakes.

Into The Mist is another who is racing in winning form with two wins in Adelaide but is also stepping up in grade after her last start win over 1400m in a Morphettville BenchMark 75 on September 26.

Kayjay’s Joy is also working her way up through the classes and steps up to Group 3 level after wins at her last two starts at Caulfield in a 1400m BenchMark 90 on September followed by a win in a 1440m BenchMark 84 on October 3.

Damian Lane has been aboard at her last two victories and is in the saddle again looking from a hat trick of wins on the Snitzel mare from barrier five.
