2015 Civic Stakes Odds and Betting Update

Fifteen classy sprinters have been confirmed in the final field for Saturday’s Listed Civic Stakes (1350m) at Rosehill Gardens; offering punters exceptional value from a betting standpoint and several key opportunities to place a winning wager.

Dothraki will carry winning form into Saturday’s Rosehill feature following an exceptional display in the Group 3 WJ Healy Stakes (1200m) a fortnight ago, and remains outright $3.40 favourite in 2015 Civic Stakes betting markets.

Posting five wins and a further ten minors through 21 career starts, the Mossman gelding was a standout for Gerald Ryan through summer; running second to Our Boy Malachi in each of the Listed Starlight Stakes (1100m) and Listed Razor Sharp Handicap (1200m) most notably.

Needing luck in running from barrier 13, Dothraki has been confirmed to be partnered by Blake Shinn and will carry a race-high 59.5kgs.

Wouldnt It Be Nice has found competitive form leading into the 2015 Civic Stakes and currently figures as sole occupant of the second line at generous $8 odds for success.

Claiming a career-total five wins and nine minors through 30 competitive starts, the Choisir gelding ran a credible third in the talent-rich Sydney Markets Foundation Handicap (1100m) before charging home to win the Listed June Stakes (1100m) on June 6th.

Having since finished a luckless fifth in the Winter Dash (1200m), Wouldnt It Be Nice will also need some luck from barrier 9 but has been confirmed to be partnered by regular hoop Thomas Huet.

Rose Of Choice and Two Blue are both yet to experience much attention from punters in 2015 Civic Stakes betting markets but remain tied on the third line at $8.50 quotes each.

Rose Of Choice returned this time for a credible fifth in the Group 3 Dark Jewel Classic (1400m) before floating to Brisbane for fourth behind the likes of Hazard and Catkins in the Group 2 Dane Ripper Stakes (1350m).

While unable to match the late pace and 12th in the Group 1 Tattersall’s Tiara (1400m) a fortnight ago, the daughter of Choisir is sure to relish a step back in class for the Civic Stakes.

Two Blue will carry winning form into the 2015 Civic Stakes after taking out the TAB.com.au Handicap (1200m) on June 27th, and while allocated a favourable 54kgs handicap, will need to jump from the gates well if to figure from barrier 14.
