Epingle Early Favourite in 2015 Tattersall’s Cup Betting

12 stayers have been confirmed in the final field for Saturday’s Group 3 Tattersall’s Cup (2400m) on the Gold Coast; figuring as an interesting race from a betting standpoint and offering several opportunities to place a lucrative wager.

Epingle has returned to racing in particularly competitive form this time and has opened as and maintained status as outright $4 favourite in 2015 Tattersall’s Cup betting markets with Ladbrokes.com.au as a result.

Epingle has posted six wins and a further 15 minors through 36 career starts so far and has arguably found the most consistent form of her career since arriving in Brisbane this time.

Beating only one runner home in the Group 3 Schweppervescence Trophy (1600m) first-up on March 14th, the Pins mare was given little chance of success in the Group 3 Chairman’s Handicap (2200m) on the Gold Coast on April 25th but responded in the best way possible when taking out the race with ease.

Having run third in each of the Group 2 Eagle Farm Cup (2200m) and Group 2 Brisbane Cup (2200m) most recently, Epingle has bene confirmed to be partnered by leading hoop Hugh Bowman and will leave from the ideal barrier 2.

Faust is yet to attract much attention from punters in 2015 Tattersall’s Cup betting markets but has maintained position on the second line at a quote of $4.40.

Securing seven wins and 12 minors through 30 career starts, the Librettist gelding ran seventh in the Listed Albury Gold Cup (2000m) on March 27th; progressing to second in the Listed Wagga Gold Cup (2000m) before taking out the Group 3 Premier’s Cup (2020m) last time out on May 23rd.

Needing some luck in running early from barrier 9, Faust is sure to be boosted by the addition of Hong Kong-based hoop Zac Purton in the saddle this weekend.

Banca Mo has so-far received the greatest market share of attention in 2015 Tattersall’s Cup betting markets; cutting in from an opening quote of $6.50 to currently register as clear $5.50 market mover and third-favourite.

The Tough Speed gelding has undoubtedly found career-best form to date through his current preparation; running third in the Group 3 Hobart Cup (2400m) and second in the Group 3 Launceston (2400m) before taking out the Listed Mornington Cup (2400m) on March 28th.

Having run on for a close second in the Listed Ipswich Cup (2150m) last weekend, Banca Mo is positioned well in barrier 6 this weekend and is sure to be offered a gem of a ride from Michael Cahill.
