2015 Glenlogan Park Stakes Final Field and Barriers

12 talented sprinters have been confirmed to contest Saturday’s Group 3 Glenlogan Park Stakes (1350m) at Doomben; won by talented mare Srikandi on her way to a credible third in the Group 1 Stradbroke Handicap in 2014.

I’ve Got The Looks is yet to taste anything but success this time in and is offered a great chance of continuing the trend through the 2015 Glenlogan Park Stakes after drawing the central barrier 7.

Posting eight wins and a further five minors through 19 career starts so far, I’ve Got The Looks posted several promising results for Peter and Paul Snowden over a strong spring campaign, highlighted by a credible fifth behind the likes of Terravista and Famous Seamus in the Group 2 The Shorts (1100m).

Having won each of the Listed Silk Stocking (1200m) and Listed Juanmo Stakes (1200m) in the lead-up to the Glenlogan Park Stakes, the daughter of Choisir will again be partnered by Blake Shinn and will be tough to beat.

Solicit also carries winning black type form into the 2015 Glenlogan Park Stakes and looks as though she will receive the run of the race from the ideal barrier 3, despite being charged with a race-high 59.5kg.

Beginning her racing career under the guidance of Mathew Ellerton and Simon Zahra, Solicit contested several impressive results over her own over spring; running second in the Group 2 Stock Stakes (1600m) and fourth in the Group 1 Myer Classic (1600m) most notably.

Placing fourth in her first race for current trainer Gerald Ryan, the Group 3 Guy Walter Stakes (1400m) on February 28th, the daughter of Street Cry returned for a brief spell after failing to beat a single runner home in the Group 3 Aspiration Quality (1600m) on March 7th; returning for a strong win in the Group 3 Darley Crown (1300m) on May 9th.

Peron (barrier 11) and Goldslick (barrier 4) both finished fourth in their most recent efforts but will be suited to the conditions of the 2015 Glenlogan Park Stakes, particularly at the weights.

Running second in the Listed Bob Hoysted Stakes (1000m) first-up on March 7th, Peron failed to make an impact in the Group 1 William Reid Stakes (1200m) but has since finished fifth in the Group 2 Sapphire Stakes (1200m) and fourth in the Darley Crown.

A leading chance of success for the locals, Goldslick has not been seen on course since late February, but has trialled well following her fourth in the Listed Members’ Cup (1600m).

Kiwi raider Sancerre carries winning form into the 2015 Glenlogan Park Stakes and will leave from the rails draw, while the Mick Price-trained Jazz Song has been charged with overcoming the outside gate 12.
