Murwillumbah trainer Matthew Dunn is looking...
Peter & Paul Snowden will saddle three horses at Royal Randwick Racecourse on Saturday, two looking for money and one simply enjoying an exhibition gallop.
That’s A Good Idea will search for his first black-type win in the Listed Carrington Stakes (1400m) while Choice We Had will line-up in the Hyland Race Colours Handicap (1400m).
That’s A Good Ideal narrowly missed his first stakes win at Gosford on January 9, finishing just a nose behind Ball Of Muscle in the Listed Takeover Target Stakes (1200m).
Peter Snowden believes the step up in distance for the first time in 15 months will suit the five-year-old gelding and help him nab his first black-type victory.
“His last start said it all. He was all but there bar a bob of the head,” he told Sky Racing.
“He did win over 1400 early in his career, not at this level, but I think he’s ready to go there now.”
That’s A Good Idea is on the second line of betting for the 2015 Carrington Stakes at Ladbrokes.com.au, paying $4.20 to win behind She’s Clean at $3.90.
Choice We Had is a $6 shot to win the Hyland Race Colours Handicap.
The Snowdens’ stable star Shooting To Win will also line-up at Royal Randwick on Saturday, but not for money.
The three-year-old colt will enjoy a solo gallop following race four. The Group 1 Caulfield Guineas (1600m) winner will be one of four Group One winners taking part in the exhibition gallop.
“He’s a beautiful horse who’s in good order and he looks well,” Snowden said.
“I just needed to keep the work up to him.
“This sort of thing all helps and it’s a good surface to work on.”
