Seven of the ten runners are offering single figure odds in the betting market at Ladbrokes.com.au, led by Danas Best at $4.

The Gai Waterhouse-trained gelding is a winner over the distance and gets to the trip third-up. She came close in her two campaign runs at Rosehill and the Gold Coast and is ready to win.

Is that enough for the favourite to win the 2015 Australia Day Cup? With so many runners offering single figure odds, it really is anyone’s game.

If you’re confused about who to back, check out our betting tips below.

1st

#4 Oriental Lady ($4.40)

Kris Lees’ five-year-old mare is ready to win after a strong second place finish in the Listed Gosford Cup (2100m) last time out, in which she hit the line strongly. Partnered with Brenton Avdulla, Oriental Lady will jump from barrier four and carry just half a kilogram over the minimum weight. The mare hit her straps third up last preparation over 2300 metres at Newcastle. The market mover has seen her price firm from $5 following support from punters.

2nd

#7 Off The Rails ($8.50)

The Bjorn Baker-trained gelding is unbeaten in his two Randwick runs but this is his first go running over 2400 metres. Off The Rails has yet to finish outside the placings in his five runs this preparation, two of which he won, including a Benchmark 78 in December. The gelding was last seen running third to Tinto in the Magic Millions Stayers Cup (1800m) at the Gold Coast on January 10. He will jump from barrier eight with Sam Clipperton to ride.

3rd

#2 Multilateral ($6.50)

The better of Chris Waller’s two runners in the Australia Day Cup, Multilateral has won twice over both the track and distance of the race. The five-year-old gelding won the Listed Tattersalls Cup (2400m) on January 1 before finishing just outside the placings in the Gosford Cup. While his 3kg weight increase from the Tattersalls Cup is a concern, the gelding should still finish in the placings considering his inside jump from barrier two with Glyn Schofield to ride.
