The likes of Hallowed Crown, The Peak, Diamond Drille, Hampton Court, and Shooting To Win will all have exhibiton gallops between Saturday’s races, which include the Listed Carrington Stakes (1400m) and Listed Australia Day Cup (2400m).

Hugh Bowman will ride Hallowed Crown and Tommy Berry will ride The Peak over 800 metres following race one.

Three-year-old colt Hallowed Crown has won four of his five career starts, including the Group 1 Golden Rose Stakes (1400m) back in September. Co-trainer James Cummings revealed last week that the colt will be targeted at the Group 1 Randwick Guineas (1600m) on March 7.

Former Hong Kong galloper The Peak’s autumn campaign has yet to be revealed by trainers Bart & James Cummings. The six-year-old was last seen running fifth in a Benchmark 90 over 1000 metres on January 10.

Berry will then partner Diamond Drille in a gallop over 1200 metres following race three, while Josh Parr will ride Hampton Court.

Gai Waterhouse’s Diamond Drille won the Group 1 Queen Of The Turf Stakes (1600m) last autumn but was disappointing during the spring, finishing end of the field in all three starts, including the Group 1 Myer Classic (1600m).

Stable mate Hampton Court came into his own during the spring, winning the Listed Dulcify Quality (1600m) on the back of the Group 1 Spring Champion Stakes (2000m).

Shooting To Win will gallop on his own after race four, over 1000 metres with James McDonald to ride.

The Peter & Paul Snowden-trained colt will be nominated for both the 2015 Randwick Guineas and Australian Guineas in Melbourne on March 7 but his main autumn goal is the Group 1 Doncaster Mile (1600m) one month later on April 7.

Shooting To Win had a brilliant first campaign in the spring, scoring minor placings in the Group 3 Ming Dynasty Quality (1400m) and Group 1 Golden Rose Stakes (1400m) as well as winning the Group 2 Stan Fox Stakes (1500m) on his way to victory in the Group 1 Caulfield Guineas (1600m) on October 11.

Punters are sure to get a great show at Randwick this Saturday. Not only will they see quality horses running in both the 2015 Carrington Stakes and 2015 Australia Day Cup, they’ll get to see high-profile gallopers ahead of the autumn.
