Magic Millions 3YO Classic 2014 Betting Tips
In Melbourne the spring racing action comes to a close on Saturday with the stand-alone Ballarat Cup Day meeting featuring two Magic Millions restricted races including the 2014 Magic Millions 3YO Classic, tips for which are detailed below.

A field of 12 three-year-olds face off in this year’s $100,000 Magic Millions 3YO Classic (1100m), the $3 favourite through Ladbrokes.com.au being Reigning Meteor.
Matthew Williams’ Northern Meteor colt won over 11000m at Ararat two back for his third career win before a fourth down the Flemington straight (1000m) on Melbourne Cup Day that he’ll be out to improve on here.
Following Reigning Meteor, drawn in gate eight, are then a host of other livewire chances including the rails-drawn I’m A Flying Star ($7) and early market mover Murt The Flirt ($11 into $9) on debut here.

Barrier six draw for this Robbie Griffiths-trained up-and-coming More Than Ready gelding, the nicely bred galloper coming off a win at Bendigo from October 29. Narrowly won over 1100m that day and is over the same distance here sure to have taken improvement off that.
2nd
#6 Murt The Flirt ($9)
Money is coming for Brendan McCarthy’s Murtajill gelding who comes into the race without a trial. Trained at Caulfield and work has been good, has the mystery factor the bookies aren’t willing to risk and think could surprise first-up with Chris Symons riding.
3rd
#5 Crinklecut ($9)
Brent Stanley-trained, Dwayne Dunn-ridden chance in barrier three is lightly raced and coming off a breakthrough win at Kilmore from November 11. That was over 1107m, same distance for the Wanted gelding here and should be running well again.
