Just nine runners remain in contention for this afternoon’s Group 2 Moonee Valley Cup (2500m) following the late scratching of leading chance Mr O’Ceirin this morning, offering punters exceptional value from a betting standpoint and several key opportunities to place a winning wager.

Having returned to the track in typically strong form this time in, classy Chris Waller-trained stayer Opinion has opened as and maintained status as outright favourite in Moonee Valley betting markets and is currently available at odds of $3 after experiencing notable attention from punters over the last 24 hours.

Local hopefuls Le Roi and Albonetti have steadily drifted in Moonee Valley Cup betting markets over the last 24 hours, while Epingle has firmed drastically.
