2014 Theo Marks Stakes Tips
#5 Bull Point ($3.20)
Bull Point was very good in unsuitable conditions in the Show County Quality and he faces a weaker field in this race at Rosehill Gardens on Saturday. He has previously performed well over the 1400 metres course at Rosehill Gardens, finishing third in the Group 1 Golden Rose Stakes on this day last year, and he is down on the limit weight of 53 kilograms.
#4 Kirramosa ($5)
Kirramosa returned with a promising sixth behind Sweet Idea in the Group 2 Missile Stakes (1200m) at Royal Randwick, but she has now gone a month between runs due to the wet weather in Sydney. The daughter of Alamosa is one of the class horses in the field, but this race may be a bit too short as she heads towards the Group 1 Caulfield Cup (2400m).
#6 Jetset Lad ($17)
Jetset Lad is taking winning form into the Theo Marks Stakes after taking out the Sono Restaurant Handicap (1350m) in Doomben on August 30 and he is the best rougie in the Group 2 event. The Elusive City gelding takes on a tougher field here, but he performed well at Listed level during the 2014 Brisbane Winter Racing Carnival and he rarely runs a bad race.
