2014 Quezette Stakes Nominations Feature London Lolly

A smart Golden Rose bound filly from the stables of Team Hawkes, London Lolly is one of the topline nominees for the Quezette Stakes 2014 at Caulfield Racecourse on Saturday.

The daughter of Charge Forward is one of 19 three-year-old fillies nominated for this year’s $150,000 Group 3 Quezette Stakes (1100m) running on PB Lawrence Stakes in Melbourne on the weekend.

A winner of two of her four starts to date London Lolly is already a dual stakes winner thanks to two nice runs back in March and pays $26 through Ladbrokes.com.au to win the $1 million Group 1 Golden Rose (1400m) in Sydney next month.

She won the Listed St Albans Stakes (1200m) at Moonee Valley two back before her Group 3 Breeders’ Stakes (1200m) success in Adelaide last time out at Morphettville on March 29 and will be looking to pick up where she left off when returning here.

Aquanita Racing also have a nice hope in the mix with Empress O’Reilly, the Robert Smerdon-trained daughter of O’Reilly having won here on debut on Boxing Day before a first-up sixth at Moonee Valley at the start of the month.

Other higher rated hopes include the Lloyd Kennewell-trained Sunset Rock from Adelaide who won a black-type back home in March, the Mick Price-trained Royal Snitzel who has won her opening two career starts this winter and Robbie Griffith’s Down The Hatch.

Flying Spur filly Down The Hatch debuted with a fifth to Royal Snizel three back at Donald before going on to record back-to-back wins firstly at Sale and then Moonee Valley against her own kind like she faces again here looking to make it a hat-trick.

Also of note are the likes of the well-tried All Sewn Up for Byron Cozamanis who has already had five runs including a second in Adelaide’s Magic Millions 2YO Classic in the autumn, the Peter Moody-trained Bendigo winner in the wet Clover Lane and the undefeated Novel Dancer shooting for her third career win but in the big city for the first time here.

See below for the full Quezette Stakes 2014 nominations with the final field and barriers out on Wednesday.

In the meantime sign up with our preferred online bookie Ladbrokes.com.au and enjoy having your initial investment matched 100% up to $250 as a bonus bet that can be split up to four ways!
