The weather has been close to perfect in Brisbane throughout the weekend and the Doomben track has come up a dead five, which gives a variety of horses the opportunity to win from any position across the track.

There have been very few scratchings across the Doomben Cup and a number of races are set to be interesting, yet tricky, betting propositions for punters, with capacity fields and a number of winning chances.

Doomben Track Report

  • Weather: Fine
  • Track Conditions: Dead 5
  • Penetrometer: 5.1

  • Previous Rail: True Entire Course

The Doomben Cup is not the strongest edition of the race, but is set to be a very competitive betting race; with support coming for Streama, Leebaz, Akzar and Junoob in the 2014 Doomben Cup betting market at Ladbrokes Australia.

There have been no scratchings in the Doomben Cup, but the BRC Sprint betting market has been significantly influenced by scratchings with Someday, Emblems and Masthead all coming out of the race.
