2014 SA Sires Produce Stakes Field And Betting Update

The 2014 ATC Sires Produce Stakes is the feature juvenile event in Australia this weekend, but a number of talented two-year-olds are also set to contest the 2014 SA Sires Produce Stakes at Morphettville on Saturday.

The standout in the 2014 SA Sires Produce Stakes is Leon Macdonald-trained Go Indy Go, who is currently a clear favourite in betting markets for the Group 3 event.

Go Indy Go (barrier three) made her racing debut with a second place finish behind Sunset Rock in the Listed Cinderella Stakes (1050m) at Morphettville on March 10 and was most impressive when second behind the super talented London Lolly in the Group 3 Breeders Stakes’ at the same venue on March 29.

On the second line of 2014 SA Sires Produce Stakes betting markets is Mornington-based Felarof, who will jump from the outside barrier with Damian Lane on his back this weekend.

Felarof failed to fire when making his racing debut in the Listed Debutant Stakes (1000m) at Caulfield on October 12 last year, but returned to the races with a win in the Ascend Sales Plate (1200m) at Echuca before finishing fourth at Sandown on March 22.

The only horse taking winning form into the SA Sires Produce Stakes is Feels Like Home, who is on the third line of betting for the Group 3 event at a quote of $5.50.

Feels Lime Home was far from disgraced when making his racing debut in the Listed Desiree Gill Tribute Stakes (1000m) at Caulfield on November 16 and scored a maiden race win at Kyneton on March 23.

The only other runners that are available at single figure odds in 2014 SA Sires Produce Stakes betting markets are debutant Try Your Best ($6) and Matt Neilson-trained Eastern Cape, who made his racing debut with a second place finish in the First Light Racing Handicap (1300m) at Bendigo on March 27.
