Murwillumbah trainer Matthew Dunn is looking...
Lord Of The Sky has been well-backed to record his fourth straight win when he steps-up in class to contest the Listed W.J. Adams Stakes (1000m) at Caulfield on Saturday.
Lord Of The Sky is currently available at odds of $2.20 in W.J. Adams Stakes betting markets following two impressive performances since returning from a stint in the spelling paddock in December.
The Danerich colt returned to the races with a comfortable win in the National Patient Transport Handicap (1000m) at Caulfield on December 7 before scoring a dominant six and a half lengths win in the Guinot International Handicap (1000m) at Caulfield on January 15.
On the second line of W.J. Adams Stakes betting markets is Michael Moroney-trained African Pulse ($4.60) who will be returning to the races for the first time since October last year.
African Pulse has an exceptional first-up record of five wins from as many starts and is undefeated at this track and distance; winning the Bennison Mackinnon Handicap (1000m) at Caulfield on January 26 and the Bert Bryant Handicap (1000m).
Another horse with a flawless first-up record is Shamal Wind who is currently on the third line of betting in 2014 W.J. Adams Stakes betting markets at odds of $8.
Shamal Wind is returning to the races for the first time since she finished second behind Dystopia in the Group 3 Mumm Stakes (1100m) at Flemington on November 7 at the end of her 2013 Spring Racing Carnival campaign.
The Dubawi mare resumed with a strong win in the Le Pine Funerals Handicap (1100m) and performed well in the Group 3 Series Final (1200m), Group 2 Caulfield Sprint (1100m) and Group 2 Yellowglen Stakes (1200m).
The market mover in 2014 W.J. Adams Stakes betting markets is the lightly-raced Brilliant Bisc who has not been seen at the races since the 2013 Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival.
Brilliant Bisc ($18) defeated star filly Guelph to win the Listed Gimcrack Stakes (1000m) at Royal Randwick on October 6 in 2012, but was unable to replicate that form in the autumn; finishing third behind Golden Slipper winner Overreach in the Listed Widden Stakes (1100m), tenth in the Group 2 Silver Slipper Stakes (1100m) and ninth in the Group 2 Magic Night Stakes (1200m).
Other horses that have received support in 2014 W.J. Adams Stakes betting markets include Byron Cozamanis-trained Vatican ($13), talented filly Kiss A Rose ($14) and Kensington Stakes winner General Truce ($15).
