The 2014 Inglis Classic is set to run at Royal Randwick Racecourse this Saturday January 18, 2014, and here you will find the latest betting odds for the race.
Boomwaais the $2.40 favourite to win the 2014 Inglis Classic at Ladbrokes.com.au.
The two-year-old is the best backed runner due to his previous race experience and winning run in the Group 3 Maribyrnong Plate at Flemington late last year.
Boomwaa has won one of his four race starts in total and has earned more than $130,000 in prize money during his horse racing career.
The two-year-old will be looking to claim his most lucrative win yet, thanks to the 2014 Inglis Classic’s $250,000 prize money.
Jockey Hugh Bowman is confident that Boomwaa can take out the 2014 Inglis Classic after riding him in track work for the first time.
Bowman revealed that Boomwaa has improved significantly when working with a galloping partner.
“He was a bit lost on his own. He went much better with a mate,” Bowman said.
“I wasn’t there to break any records, I just wanted him to do a nice piece of work.
“I certainly took a lot more confidence out of that work on Tuesday than his gallop on his own, although he only went evens on his own anyway.
“He’s a very physically developed two-year-old, a lovely horse.
“Although I didn’t ride him first-up, I’m sure he will take good improvement fitness-wise from that.
“He went into that without a trial, so I’m pleased with where he’s at.”
Vinnie Eagle is third favourite to win the 2014 Inglis Classic at Ladbrokes.com.au, while Affirmation is the $7 third favourite.
